About the work
Arctic Way explores how our eyes perceive detail. It could be argued that from a distance, the canvas could be a series of bands made from solid colours.
But take a minute to look, and even at that distance you start to notice that not every band is equal.
As you get closer, you start noticing the intricacy of the design, the fact that there is empty space between strewn throughout the light blue band.
