About the work

This vintage road bike became the canvas for my art. Here, the lines wrap around the tubes, highlighting the steel lugs used to join the frame.

The blue lines on the head tube allude to those beautiful steel badges you see on older bikes; this “badge” reaches out like a bright star.

The blue lines create structural rhythm in an otherwise monochromatic sea of black. The two colours dance as two fluids of differing densities interact, lending a sense of movement and fluidity to the otherwise sturdy steel frame.
